The KPI Institute Consulting designed and developed a Performance Management System. In this way, we developed the performance-related capabilities with due consideration to the incentivization and liaison with the business leaders. The assignment had a distinctive learning component, meant to secure critical skills and competencies.

Founded in 1970, AlKifah Holding is a leading investment company, focused on contracting, construction solutions, property development, business solutions, financing, paper production, community enrichment, and infection control. We were invited by them in 2018 to enhance their Performance Architecture, and to cascade it to all organizational levels. Thereby, the system was cascaded to the Divisions, Business Units, as well as Corporate Functions.

Approach

We started the project with Performance Management System Maturity Assessment. In this respect, the existing capabilities were analyzed based on dimensions such as Strategic Planning, Performance Measurement, Performance Management, Performance Culture, and Employee Performance Management. Moving forward, we created a Roadmap for Continuous Improvement to tackle the issues we identified.

The second stage consisted of revising and updating the strategy, as well as the Performance Architecture. For this reason, during dedicated workshops, the key stakeholders were actively involved in the reconfiguration process. Due consideration was paid to short-, and long-term perspectives.

Moving forward, with the third stage ahead, we cascaded the newly-created capabilities to the divisional and sub-divisional levels. Dedicated workshops were organized to secure critical skills and competencies, but also to cascade the objectives. It was also the Employee Performance Management targeted, with Individual Performance Scorecards developed in compliance with the departmental ones.

The final phase of the assignment focused on recalibrating the Bonus and Reward System. In this case, we hosted a meeting to map the challenges and opportunities, to revert with a proposal based on our guidelines, and in line with the client`s inputs. After final adjustments we had the new system operational, thus concluding our capability building with the client.
