The KPI Institute Consulting conducted a joint project of Strategy Review and KPI Selection. We concluded a current state analysis, improved objectives formulation, as well as facilitated KPI Selection and Initiative Management. In this way, the client received comprehensive technical assistance for implementing the Balanced Scorecard Management System.
Established in 2009, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology is dedicated to advancing science and technology through interdisciplinary research, education, and innovation. We met them in 2021 when invited to bring their Performance Architecture to the next level. Together with Project Steering and Government Affairs Teams, The KPI Institute Consulting consolidated the capabilities at the organizational, departmental, and divisional levels.
The project debuted with the Organizational Strategy Review and KPI Selection. To secure the critical skills and competencies, we delivered a KPI Awareness Session, to settle the foundation for the capabilities to come. Moving forward, the workshop technique was operationalized for interactively shaping the Performance Management tools.
With the second stage started, it was time to have the Performance Architecture aligned. Mirroring the same approach as before, we analyzed the internal documents, then built stakeholder engagement accordingly. Distinctive workshops were delivered to align the revised strategy to departmental, divisional, and individuals levels.
Having the KPIs in place at all organizational levels, we stepped into the next phase of documenting them and setting the targets accordingly. While the KPI Documentation was going on, awareness-raising was deployed to prepare the stakeholders for the Target Setting. By the end of the stage, we hosted workshops dedicated to setting the targets for Performance Scorecards.
The project closure occurred with consolidating the Balanced Scorecard Management System. In this way, we created a dedicated handbook for effectively operating the newly-created capabilities, thus maximizing the knowledge acquisition. Finally, a comprehensive set of recommendations were submitted to the client, also mapping the future steps.
