The KPI Institute Consulting piloted a Performance Architecture, with due consideration to aligning the individual efforts to the organizational goals. We developed the capabilities based on a joint approach of technical assistance and stakeholder education. Furthermore, the Performance Management System was cascaded to the departmental level during dedicated workshops.
Established in 1988, PT Tesena Inovindo manufactures medical devices and hospital furniture, the leading infant incubator producer in the domestic market. We met them in 2015, inviting them to have an Integrated Performance Management System cascaded to the employee level. The rationale was to have the actions conducted by each employee bring the organization closer to the desired state.
We started with developing the Performance Architecture once we clarified the organizational identity. The objectives were reviewed, and new strategic directions were developed. During the same stage, it was ensured that the departments were completely aligned with the corporate strategy. (removed the comma after Performance Architecture)
Within the second stage, we deep-dived into aligning the employees to the strategy regarding behaviors and competencies. Besides creating the Individual Performance Scorecards, we compiled the financial and non-financial rewards framework. In this way, 50 positions from the organization were aligned to the performance guidelines developed by The KPI Institute.
The final stage represented the communication and follow-up component. During seminars, we instructed the client on properly using the instruments we developed. Particular attention has been paid to increasing the benefits resulting from Employee Performance Management.
